Poultry Parks to Be Set Up Across State

KVASU partners with industry and entrepreneurs — value addition and skill development at the core

The Kerala Veterinary and Animal Sciences University (KVASU) is planning to establish poultry parks in association with industry and entrepreneurs, Vice Chancellor B. Ashok has said.

Delivering the keynote address at Prebav 2015, a Poultry Industry Entrepreneurship Interface held here on Monday, he stressed the need to focus on value addition to improve the profitability from poultry farming.

In his inaugural address, Chief Executive Officer, Additional Skill Acquisition Programme (ASAP) M.T. Reju said the poultry industry had the potential to create more employment in India through entrepreneurship and skill development.

He said ASAP was identifying the skill gaps to implement appropriate skill development programmes.
