IPEMA / Poultry India Showcases Strong Leadership at IPJA Technical Seminar in Tanuku

June 10, 2025 | NECC Kalyan Mandapam, Tanuku

IPEMA made a commanding presence as key sponsor and knowledge partner at the impactful Technical Seminar by Indian Poultry Journalists Association (IPJA), themed "Challenges & Opportunities in Poultry in Andhra Pradesh." The seminar witnessed 350+ stakeholders including farmers, researchers, and policymakers, jointly organized with NECC and APPF to address sectoral challenges.

I spoke about the role of collaboration, showcased the success of 16th edition of Poultry India Expo 2024, and invited all to the 17th edition. Mr. P. Chakradhar Rao emphasized quality and urged farmer participation in global platforms.

Technical sessions addressed topics from biosecurity and nutrition to automation and litter management. Emotional tributes were paid to Late Smt. Uttaradevi, Padmashree Dr. B.V. Rao, and Shri Vijay Singh Bayas. The event concluded with heartfelt thanks and renewed vision.

Poultry Delegation Meets Hon'ble Minister Dr. Vakiti Srihari Garu

On 26th June, IPEMA, TPF, and NECC representatives met with the newly appointed Minister for Animal Husbandry, Telangana, Dr. Vakiti Srihari Garu. The meeting laid the groundwork for collaborative policy reforms and departmental support. The Minister assured consideration of industry insights and called for further dialogue with relevant officials.

Farewell to Mr. Michiel van Erkel – A Friend of Indian Poultry

On 30th June, along with YEP representative Mr. Shubham Raaj Singh Bayas, bid farewell to Mr. Michiel van Erkel, Agricultural Counsellor, Embassy of the Netherlands. His commendation of Poultry India Expo and Indo-Dutch collaboration reaffirmed shared goals in sustainable agriculture and trade. We wish him continued success!

Strengthening Global Media Partnerships

In a major media outreach move, IPEMA's senior leadership concluded barter deals with 17 prominent international poultry media houses. These agreements will bolster global visibility for the Indian poultry sector, foster lasting collaborations, and pave the way for deeper industry-media synergy.

IPEMA Family Shines Bright – Celebrating Academic Excellence

A proud moment for the IPEMA family: B. Hruthika Lakshmi, daughter of IPEMA staffer Ms. B. Pushpalatha (Sr. Graphics Designer), secured State 3rd Rank in the Telangana Intermediate Board Exams with 992/1000 marks. A special cash reward was presented in recognition of her achievement. The IPEMA family stands proud!

In Memoriam – Shri Vijay Singh Bayas (1945–2025)

With deep sorrow, we mourn the loss of Shri Vijay Singh Bayas, visionary founder of Vijay Raj Poultry Equipments and one of the founding members of IPEMA/Poultry India. My father, my mentor, and a lifelong advocate for poultry innovation, he passed away on the 1st of June, 2025 at the age of 75. A true pioneer, he revolutionized poultry mechanization, introduced several industry-first innovations, and nurtured generations of poultry entrepreneurs.

He played a pivotal role in conceptualizing the Poultry India Expo, now South Asia's biggest poultry platform. His values, innovation, and relentless pursuit of excellence continue to guide us. His legacy will forever be etched in the foundation of Indian poultry's growth story. We celebrate his legacy that continues to guide our path.

Looking Ahead: 17th Poultry India Expo 2025

Scheduled for November 26–28, 2025 at HITEX Exhibition Center, Hyderabad, the 17th edition of Poultry India Expo is set to raise the bar yet again. With expanded international participation, strategic partnerships, advanced technologies, and training opportunities, this year's edition promises to be bigger and better than ever.

I invite each and every stakeholder to be a part of this transformative journey. Let's come together to build a more inclusive, sustainable, and globally recognized poultry industry.
